Is College a Scam?

The media has been slowly drawing attention to the problems with our system of colleges and universities, and the question of whether students are being educated or scammed. Here's a video from the National Inflation Association that does a good job of spelling out just what's going on in both higher education and our government. You might not agree with all of it but it will give you a lot of food for thought.

I think that more and more online colleges like WGU and Straightline will come along with more colleges failing in the next 10-20 years.
People just can't afford to send their kids to a state school even anymore. (URI is 12k tuition NOW!....that doesn't count all the other expenses)

I agree, Katya. My alma mater is a state school (UIUC) that now charges nearly $30,000 a year for tuition and room and board. Insanity!
